The 8" Hoffman Explorer Calked is a high-performance hybrid developed for loggers, foresters, and outdoorsmen who operate in the most punishing vertical environments. By combining a technical mountaineering chassis with our proprietary calk sole, we’ve created a boot that offers unmatched stability on slick logs, steep slash, and unforgiving forest floors.

• Elite Traction System: Featuring Hoffman’s proprietary calk sole with exchangeable calks, this boot is designed for maximum "bite" on timber and steep terrain. The entire sole is fully resolable, ensuring years of hard use in the woods.

• Amphibious Leather Shield: Built with 2.8–3.0mm Amphibious waterproof leather—the highest grade available—and a one-piece vamp construction that eliminates seams. This design prevents failure points and maximizes foot comfort during long days on the mountain.

• Mountain Chassis Stability: A heavy-duty nylon mid-sole provides the lateral stiffness required for side-hilling and navigating heavy debris, while a full rubber rand protects the premium leather from abrasive rock and wood.
